GATE APPLICATION STATUS

There are growing requests about asking a very common question, “I sent the application form by speed post but it say the application is not received at IITs or IISc, what do now?”
There could be several reasons and I will address them one after another.
Stay calm and check again. Before checking, please note that you need to check the status on IIT or IISc website, where you sent your application. For example, I sent my application form to IIT Delhi and if I check the status on IIT Bombay website, it will show that application is not received.

As you all know our government workers are too late to update stuff, your application status may take few days to get updated. Stay patient during this time and collected the evidences of you sending application form.
Please collect the following documents before you contact GATE office.
1. Copy of challan
2. Bill of speed post sent ( you can visit speed post or courier office to check if you application is being delivered or not)
3. Acknowledgment from postal or courier department

If you have sent everything on time, I hope it should not be an issue for getting it updated in a day or two. At least when you call them it will be updated.
